Thank you all for your contributions. As Mattrom said recently, Clueless is difficult to adjudicate with so many excellent entries without risking disappointment. We separately evaluated each clue and, whilst having a slightly different top 3, both agreed on the eventual winner, which was Tyke@15.

We particularly liked the combination of simplicity, smooth surface and wit of:
“Out of order toilets, not a little inconvenient”.
